November Happenings

Welcome Baxter Boswell
It was sometime in September. Dylan and I were up all night once again with Sherman. He simply wouldn't settle down. When this happened, his restless nights led to restless days, and the cycle would continue. It was almost like he was always waiting for something, and he just couldn't sit down and relax. It was a Saturday afternoon when we Dylan and I came to a decision. We believed he needed a buddy more than we thought it may be time to put our old man down.
Dylan sprang into action and hit up the Humane Society that Tuesday on his lunch break.

Arnie's Saga
If you've ever seen any of my posts, there's a fair chance you're familiar with Arnie.
You know, adorable, green-eyed, orange little puffball?
Yep. Him.

Attempted Plans
I touched briefly on the world of resolutions last week, and it got me thinking about how you need to commit to those resolutions. If you want it to work you have to do it all year round, right? That train of thought lead me to an interesting tid-bit I heard on the radio recently. A famous financial guru said that to plan for holidays next year take a good look at what you spent this year. That way, you can divide the amount up by 8-10 months (less or more, depending on how early or late you like to start your shopping) and then viola! You'll have a planned holiday spending account. It's fantastic advice! Probably not going to be followed by a great and many of us though.
Not entirely wasted though because it did inspire me for this week's blog post! (As you recall, I resolved to be better prepared for such things.)

A Few of our Basic Shenanigans
It's going to be hard to follow up after a vacation recap that took me ... what? 4 weeks to complete? That's a month long vacation recap! One would think I was prepared, knowing that I'd have vacation recap weeks and I could get ahead! Have blog posts at the ready! Make coherent themes! Yeah! That would have been great. But, it's not what I did. However; I did manage to capture some of our basic shenanigans, and there we have the title of my post! So here we go kids, back to the basics at the Boswell House. Come take a look won't you?

Our Trip to the Big House
Admit it, you read the title and thought we went to jail.
Or, perhaps I am pushing hard on an old-timey joke that isn't the slightest bit funny
because no one calls jail "the big house" anymore. Well, I just did! Anywho, now that
I've got you all excited about a jail story, we didn't go to jail.
We went to Casa Grande: The Big House.
It's not just a small town between Tucson and Phoenix, it's a real thing.
In fact! The actual Casa Grande Ruins aren't even in the town Casa Grande, thy're in Coolidge.
Geography facts folks! What doesn't this blog have to offer?

La Producción en la casa Boswell
That's "production at the Boswell house" in Spanish (at least according to Google.)
There's only so many ways to say "holy crap! We were productive!" in a blog title, you know? But that does not take away from the satisfaction of it all. So much satisfaction in fact, I can't wait to show it off!

Ah, L'amour
Oh February, a month of record high temperatures, exchanges of love and kittens.
Well, okay, so that's not traditionally what February offers up,
but that's how February has been going over here at the Boswell house.

Weekend Wonders
Another weekend has come to pass here at the Boswell house, but we managed to make this one pretty productive!
