SOMETHING IS FINISHED!!!
See that? We grouted! Grout-ed. We're not grouting, we're not going to grout - it's past tense, it's done!
Grout!! Glorious grout!!
Sealed about 10,000,000,000 times. (I'm exaggerating, but it was seriously slathered with sealant at least 5x)
We were flying so high from this accomplishment that we dove straight into a few more projects!
(No, not the bathroom, okay?!)
We mowed the [pretty well overgrown] lawn
From left to right you can see a sort of before and after effect, and the petunias growing like gangbusters!
We accomplished cleaning the bathroom!!
And was it just me, or did anyone else notice the face on the door there?
Maybe it's just me ... but he looks really happy, so I'm good with it.
We even pulled off a surprise accomplishment, thanks to opportunity shopping.
Snagged a new LED light fixture at costco for Dylan's office
It perfectly replaces the old super-hot-bulb variety seen here:
Now the office is so well lit, Dylan's motivated to clean it up ... sometime.
We surprised the kids with a new dog bed, Sherman approves
Then Arnie surprised us by turning the blanket into a living creature
You gotta look real close...
There he is!
Goofball.
Best. Cat. Ever.
Out-of-doors the surprises continue, like our surprise tenant, the itsy bitsy spider.
Tiny spider, giant web. I appreciate the bug catching properties and everything ... but this really freaks me out. That web better not get any bigger, okay little dude?
Here's a great thing to go ahead and catch for me:
WHAT THE HECK IS THAT THING?! It was hanging out on the security door, some sort of freak fly/cricket hybrid. Oh god and when it flies ~shudder~ 2nd only in creepiness to a dang dinosaur bug.
It's not all bugs though, here's where the surprises start to get fun. I drove home from work today, noticed the web got bigger, picked up a box that was delivered to the front door, went back outside to roll out the trash cans and noticed this:
Everything in the front yard got moved! I even called Dylan to ask him if he did this, he didn't. I thought maybe it was rain, maybe it was wildlife, maybe it was a neighbor and before I saw the pot on the bottom right there, I thought for a second it was stolen. Then when I looked back at everything I concluded that Matt must have needed to move them for his furniture when he moved out, so I laughed at myself for a moment then went back inside.
Then Dylan got home and guess what he noticed?
A HUGE chunk of tree is missing.
I thought we were waiting to schedule the tree surgeon, but it looks like they just came out and took care of it. How do you guys like my powers of deduction? Yeah. The tree team had to get all of that stuff out of the way. Heh.
We'll see you guys next week!
