The Burger Bleus

Is there any better time than burger time?

There were a couple of factors at play that motivated us to declare a burger night. One, was that often on week nights we host the dudes over to do some mid-week binging of whatever anime we're currently enjoying, and more often than not we break bread at these gatherings. The second motivating factor was the fact that we had a package of bleu cheese that we needed to, well, consume! With that, burger night was declared.

One of the dudes brought over an excellent burger-paired beer. I can't recall what it was that inspired us to bust out the koozies for this occasion, but we did. And in that, I realized that Dylan and I have quite an impressive koozie collection.
Mine was actually the monkey.

Now, we knew the burgers were going to be bacon & bleu cheese, but what fun is a "bacon and bleu cheese burger?" Pft. So matter-of-fact. We decided to turn to Bob's Burgers for inspiration on names.

The delicious titles we came up with that evening were:
The My Bleu Craven Burger
&
The Manchego Unchained Burger
(as one of the dudes opted out of bleu cheese.)

Dylan was our chef of course, so while he hit the grill with our burger patties, I set up all the tasty toppings.
awwwww yeeeeeah!!!
Time to build some magnificent burgers!

The gents had theirs on toasted kaiser rolls.

I swapped bun calories for beer calories, so my burger was ala-romaine!
(With some of that Frank's Red Hot Buffalo Sauce, mmm mm!!!)

That night we polished off season one of The Seven Deadly Sins, seen here for reference:

It was a great night! To prove it, here's a shot of the dudes laughing:

In our next installment, I fully intend to introduce everyone to the wacky and wild world of Disc Golf, or at least what I've been introduced to thus far.

Stay tuned!
