I've had a bit of a bug lately - a cleaning bug
I think it all started when we hosted a friend of ours from out of town. It felt almost like a high school reunion of sorts. I deep cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed in all of the nooks and crannies in the guest room, and even meticulously cleaned the bathrooms. When you haven't seen someone in years, you want to make a good impression, right? But that was really only the tip of the iceberg. Hosting weekend came and went - but the cleaning bug stayed!
I decided it was due time to wash the bedding - and I mean all of the bedding. The mattress pad, the sheet that goes over the box spring, and a vast majority of the pillows. That's when it got fun. We have one pillow that's supposed to "stay cool" so prior to washing it, I decided to read the tag to see if it had any special instructions. It did - those instructions were to tumble dry on low with clean tennis balls. As soon as I read it, I remembered that was a tip I had pinned on pinterest many pins ago. So if the internet says so, and even the pillow says so, one must oblige.
Tennis balls + pillows + the dryer = magic.
Not only is it wholly amusing listening to tennis balls tumble around your dryer - but when your pillows come out they are fluffy!
I attempted a before and after photo of two other pillows but it would appear that the "before" photograph is blurry as hell.
Moving right along!
So the house is spic and span (whoo hooo!!) Why not buff the headlights on the ol' Scion?
(A segue is a segue- alright?!)
This handy little kit is available at your local auto parts store for somewhere around $20.
It's worth every penny!
Take a look at that sad, cloudy before photo. Tisk tisk. It's a wonder I could see at night at all!
Put in a little elbow grease:
Then, boom! Just like magic - crystal clear!
Ah, so beautiful!
Alright so, I'll admit it - I was in a pinch for content this week. But hey! Maybe ya'll are a little inspired to:
See you next time, thanks for reading!
