Hallo-Recap / Hello Fall!

It's no secret we were holiday late bloomers this year. So in that respect, it almost makes sense that my Halloween recap isn't happening until November 11th right? Let it sink in, I promise the logic is perfect!

Before we wave an official goodbye to Halloween 2014, let's take a moment to stroll down memory lane.

It was the night of November 1st, the Day of the Dead, to be exact. Is there a better time for a little leftover All Hallows Eve celebration? Besides the actual day of, none!

Dylan and I had a fantastic rendition of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy this year.
eeeeeh? Check it out! I think we did great!
We even had the Dirty Bubble with us!

In fact, we loved this costume so much we also wore it out to the 2014 Tucson Comic-con. Crowd-goers loved it! People stopped and asked to take pictures with us, it was great! But ... we neglected to take any photos of our own. So, do us a favor would you? Let us know if you find any of them floating on the internet. Moving on!

Back to Halloween 2014 recap!
Every year on Halloween, Dylan and I carve our Jack-O-Lanterns. It's really a tradition that was born out of procrastination and laziness, but now I quite enjoy my Halloween day of pumpkin decorating.
(Mine's on the left)
We gave our pumpkins to our neighbor's compost around November 3rd, I think that's a fitting end for the little fellas.

Mr. Bones decided to hang out and greet Trick-or-Treaters with us.

I just realized I didn't do this recap in date order. ~shrug~ oh well, it's all the past right?
2014 was a great Halloween. Sure, it took me a little while to get into the swing of things, but then it all came and went - and then went off without a hitch! You were a great holiday, little buddy. I promise in 2015 I'll be ready!

Halloween 2014 taught me a very valuable lesson:

Thanksgiving and Christmas 2014 will not slip through the cracks!
You're darn right fairy godmother!
BRING ON THE HOLIDAYS!

I'm not going to hesitate for a second! I've already indulged in Garfield's Thanksgiving Special, and I have every intention of watching it again, maybe even 2  or 3 more times.
If you have yet to treat yourself to this heartwarming tale - what are you waiting for?! It's like 12 minutes long! Hit the internet already, remember "the more you eat, the more grateful you are gonna feel"

I know that the Christmas spirit is on my side, because just the other day when thrifting for some goodies I found the ugly sweater to end all ugly sweaters.
It's a hideous, over sized, knitted sweater with more ugly sweaters embedded within it.
Now I can just sit back and wait for the Ugly Sweater party and contest invites to come rolling in.
