We've got a few big things in the works. Big things that will entice, neigh - REQUIRE! blog posts. They're going to be fantastic! But, they're also about a month out. In the meantime, it's been ... what 2 weeks? 3? I've lost count - since my last update and, well, dang it. I still have the bug! So join me won't you on a journey through some random ramblings through images I've captured on my cell phone. Technically, it's an update. So, technically, it's a win.
First thing on the docket: Office Decor
Talk about winning, in the last couple of weeks I've added a spectacular mouse pad to my work station and found one hilarious family portrait of the IT Crowd that is now are part of my daily routine.
Good news, there's a theme party I never blogged about that will get me easily one post between now and the work starting. Now let's see if I actually do it!

You may be wondering about my Okilly Dokilly sticker. I may have blogged about that, but then again - maybe I didn't. Maybe I only wanted to? It doesn't matter. Okilly Dokilly is a Ned Flanders themed thrash metal band. Also, they're amazing.
It should probably be noted at this point, my coworkers may consider me to be a little strange.
Oh well!
Next up (and a blog favorite) THINGS WE'VE EATEN!!!
Ramen
- We went to see Ramen Heads, (and enjoyed a ramen dinner) It's a movie all about ramen in the culture as well as ramen chefs in Japan. It inspired Dylan to start -
- Jelly eggs: the process of par-boiling eggs, peeling them and then soaking them in a solution of delicious flavor for a while before they top your ramen and blow your mind!
- Dylan still makes ramen, excellent ramen, pretty regularly.
- We go out to get ramen pretty frequently
* Numerical bullets do not match the photos. The photos are just an assortment of random ramens through the months!
Well now I'm hungry.
HALLOWEEN TREATS!!!
It is officially Summer now. Of course that means my brain is rabid about all things Halloween! What can I say? I'm a planner. Also, Halloween is amazing so why shouldn't it span 4 months? You should losen up, enjoy the little things, watch a Halloween special right now, do it! Anyway, here's some of the fun we had eating and looking awesome last Halloween
Above are a couple of Halloween themed dinners Manda and I made up for date nights, because we're cool like that. I can't believe I didn't even blog about freaking HALLOWEEN. -_-
This one's huge. Look at my plates! LOOK AT THEM! I got Halloween plates last year!!!
Does anyone even know I have a probot? I feel like this isn't ... new news - but you may have forgotten. As per the episode of King of the Hill when Peggy started making Probots, when one came up in a raffle at my office, I was on a mission. I purchased a lot of raffle tickets, and it paid off! I WON! My Probot! Anyway, he lives in the front yard and we decorated him for Halloween. In't he cute? Now, let me take a moment to brag about the awesome awesome-ness that was my Duff Man (or, I suppose Duff Woman) costume. I mixed a pre-fab costume with some home-made elements and I love this costume so much.
My Duff Man belt came with the worlds most ridiculously large Duff hat. I know a few dudes with giant noggins and that hat was ludicrously large on them, still. Since finding a shirt/considering making a shirt was a little daunting, I decided to just cut the logo out of the giant hat and sew it on a shirt. Boom.
Then I made a Duff Tiara instead of a hat. Because I'm a girl.
The Halloween Spread: 2017
Then there was the Halloween pot luck at the office. I tried my hand at these little orange jack-o-lanterns stuffed with salad and while incredibly labor intensive (much harder than it looked!) I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The pay off is stellar. I mean, look at them!
Now, to polish off a mini recap of Halloween - mine and Dylan's pumpkins 2017.
<3
Moving right along!
After Halloween comes Thanksgiving, of course. We all eat, and eat, and eat on Thanksgiving. So while, yes, I took a lot of photos, there's nothing really out of the ordinary so I'm taking a spin on the eating theme. What does one wear when cooking, particularly for turkey day? An apron of course! Now look at this gem! It's the coolest apron of all time. I snagged it for $8 at a flea market (I hate that title.) Look closely, the woman on the apron IS WEARING THE APRON. I love this thing.
What else is synonymous with Thanksgiving?
In Pop-Tart form.
It was delicious.
Which of course now brings us to Christmas, I mean. Duh. How did "things we've eaten" become a full on recap? Oh well, I'm liking where this is going. In 2017 the Christmas eating season started with these lovely red and green tortilla chips! HOORAY FOR ARTIFICIAL COLORING! But it was a perfect fit, I mean, we always have changas and spinach artichoke dip @ Friendmas.
Manda and I went on 2 extremely fun culinary adventures to roll in the noel and merriment.
Christmas Cookies!
and
Peanut Brittle!
Peanut Brittle was fun, much more chemistry-ey than we'd have imagined walking into it.
Also our cookie cutter selection was on point.
Flamingos, saguaros and disc golf baskets - on my!
Well, looks like we've made it pretty close to the end of the year with my recaps in eating memoirs here. I'll leave you with the time we made okonomiyaki, because that was both delicious and fun!
Good news, there's a theme party I never blogged about that will get me easily one post between now and the work starting. Now let's see if I actually do it!
