Don't believe me? I'll show you:
A coworker of mine was kind enough to lend us his chain saw because we had some serious pruning to do.
No one appreciated the chainsaw more than Dylan, who promptly got to work taming the trees.
Ok so maybe he was having a good time using the chainsaw, but work is work, right?
Let me tell you, lots of work was done!
Not only did we trim darn near every single tree in the back yard, we even took down a couple of them entirely. (Volunteer sumacs, they were growing on the fence line. They had to go!)
Take a look at what all of that adds up to:
That's a lot of tree parts.
But we weren't even done! We continued in the back yard until we packed the garbage can full
I really failed at getting before and after pictures with this project. I think I was busy drinking water and trying to avoid heat-stroke! :-p just kidding! I'm glad I stopped to get the photos I did.
I'm also glad you're stopping to read and see them!
Anyway, here's a quasi before photo:
Followed by the sort-of after photo.
We cleared out a lot of dead things from that hill in the back there that houses the giant mesquite tree.
Not bad for a day's work. In fact, it was probably about 5 hours of hard labor. .. .. which actually sounds like a LOT when I write it out. Heh. So what the heck am I still doing awake?!
Good night everyone, we'll see you next time!
